Helping the those recently relocated to Karmiel, Israel and residents.

In light of the recent tragic situation in Israel's South, many IDF servicemen,Women and volunteers, have been called up and  relocated to potential hotspots, including our hometown of Karmiel. Were here for all of them, whether it means doing mitzvot with them, like putting on Tefillin or offering them warm meals, much needed toiletries, or a place they can come to relax. Many of them were rushed out of bed and didn't have time to pack the esentials. We are filling in that gap, and offering what we can with your help!

In May 2020, Chabad on Campus Karmiel joined with Chabad houses on campuses across Israel to challenge students to a social entrepreneurship competition backed by 100,000 NIS funding. The premise - pitch a social initiative that will provide the most help to those devastated by Covid 19 in Israeli society.

Students were invited to send in a short video-clip introducing their initiative. The top three ideas would be awarded a $1,000 grant, and the best idea would be developed and launched on Israeli society. 

The social venture suggestions to-date include providing techonological training  for Israel's elderly, furniture exchange programs for students, an application connecting farmers with customers, and technology-based international educational partnerships for those who still have to remain in isolation.

The venture partnered Chabad on Campus with student councils and multiple non-governmental organizations dedicated to helping  those in need across Israeli society.
